My name is Emily Vergara and I am a recipient of the CALAHE scholarship. I am now going into my second month at the University of Connecticut and I love it. I would like to thank you for also believing in my higher education and giving me the honor of being a 2015 recipient. The University of Connecticut has been everything I hoped it would be. I have made many important connections so far and am currently working at the Puerto Rican and Latin American Cultural Center. Coming here has been a dream come true and I could not thank you enough for giving me the financial help I needed.
