CALAHE Competitive Scholarship

 Am I Eligible?

ü  High School Senior/GED equivalent or Undergraduate College Student

ü  Latinx student from Connecticut

ü  Demonstrated Financial Need

ü  Accepted to or attending an accredited institution of higher education

ü A cumulative GPA of 2.75 or greater for all completed course work at the time of application.

ü Applicants must attend full time and be seeking their first undergraduate degree.

ü Demonstrated community service within the Latinx community.

How do I apply?

ü Download and Complete the application: CALAHE Scholarship Application

ü Write an essay: "How do you feel this scholarship is going to impact your ability to pursue your education?" (Maximum 2 page typewritten double space statement)

Application must be postmarked by: June 30, 2020 (new extended deadline due to the COVID-19 pandemic) 

NOTE: All Scholarship Recipients must attend a scholarship reception, the date and location to be determined.  Students who do not, or cannot attend the reception will forfeit their award. This scholarship is renewable for one year only, recipients must reapply.  

* Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be hosting a scholarship reception this year.  Please note, this will not affect awarding of scholarships.  All awardees will be notified about the final selection by the Scholarship Chair, Dr. Luna.
